Caspian's eyes filled with tears, though he tried to keep them from coming. He couldn't take it. The happy - but still sad - smile on his dying love's face. His son and daughter seemed near devistation. And Nox, Caspian had come to be quite fond of the young stallion. He was a part of the family, even if he wasn't of the same blood. It was a bit overwhelming. Serenade was Caspian's love and life. And she was slowly slipping away. He already knew that he wouldn't last long after she passed, if he was even to make it longer. But it seemed that Serenade was winning the race, which was an odd way of thinking about it. Caspian pushed the tears blurring his eyes away and nuzzled Sonata when she came to him. His poor princess, she didn't deserve this. It hurt his heart greatly to think of how bad she felt. But, in a way, this was a little happy. Serenade wouldn't suffer or be old anymore after she passed. This was his theory. "I feel the same, love." Caspian replied to his queen. "Words cannot express how much I will miss you. But I'll be right behind you. We shall see each other soon, I swear it." He said quietly.
